NALA | NAC | Clubs | Largest Classes | Strange But True |
NALA provides the opportunity for handlers to have their dogs compete against others from all over New Zealand by way of a correspondence competition. Each month, every member club sets up an identical course, which members run and have their score recorded from. The scores for the month are then tabulated to give a ranking for each individual dog. |
Eleven courses are run during the year, with each dog having their best eight runs totalled to provide the annual ranking. |
The competition is also run on an inter-club basis, with the scores from the top three dogs from each monthly run forming the club's team total. Again, there is a monthly ranking, with the best eight months being taken to provide the winner of the annual club competition. |
